Christ PU College – Residential is one of the offshoots of Christ Institutions, Bangalore with a mission to take the tradition of ‘Excellence and Service’ to newer heights by imparting quality education exclusively for boys. The college is situated on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway, at Kanminike, Kengeri, Bangalore South. It is just about an hour’s drive from the City railway station, and 2.5 hours from Mysore. The campus cuts an impressive figure with a 75 acre sprawling sylvan atmosphere, away from the hustle and tussle of the city but still easily accessible and now more so, as the Namma Metro rail catches up. The college boasts of an impressive Board Examination results, every year. The vision of the college is to promote a worldview that embraces the entire humanity, in its multi-faceted splendour as revealed by the cosmopolitan student crowd.
The foundation for this institution for Pre university curriculum was laid by Rev. Fr. James Narithookil CMI, Rector, Dharmaram College on July 3, 2004. The blessing of the building and the inauguration of the academic session were held on June 26, 2005 by Rev. Fr. James Narithookil, Rector and Mr. Ramalinga Reddy, Minister for Secondary Education, Karnataka State, respectively. The college offers Commerce and Science streams and the enrolment of students increased dramatically from 27 in 2005 to 126 in 2015 and the college runs full house with the new rooms attached to cater to the ever increasing demand for admission.

With the introduction of the world renowned IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum in the year 2014, saw Christ PU College – Residential accepting on its lap Christ Junior College – Residential. The number of students enrolled was eight which rose to twenty-one in the year 2015.
The new chapel named after the newly canonized St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara is now the pride of the place.
